Announcement: Hospital vacation for yours truly!

APRIL 18 2012 – AN UPDATE:
JOHN AND I WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND OUR HEARTFELT GRATITUDE, APPRECIATION AND THANKS TO ALL YOU DEAR PEOPLE FOR YOUR PRAYERS, WELL WISHES AND KIND THOUGHTS.
I’LL BE UNDERGOING CHEMOTHERAPY FROM MAY TO NOVEMBER END, THAT IS,¬†ONE SESSION WEEKLY FOR 30 SESSIONS ALTOGETHER.

My operation performed on March 20 was a great success where an extended right hemi-colectomy was done for my transverse colon cancer (stage 3).
Your prayers and those offered too by many other prayer warriors have certainly touch God’s heart, overflowing with divine mercy, love and grace. Glory, praise and thanks to Our Risen Lord – You’re my beloved and trusted physician, surgeon and healer.
By God’s grace, I’m currently recovering pretty well and gaining strength gradually, nursed by my beloved hubby with his tender, loving care – I’m truly blessed indeed!
Being now branded with the ‘Big C’, I’ll need to undergo chemo therapy eventually. Please continue to uplift me in your prayers for a full recovery and be truly strengthened for the chemo ordeal later.

I praise and thank God who is forever faithful to His promises and has saved me. I find the following bible passage which is a favorite of mine, especially during these difficult times most consoling, calming and strengthening, as I’m reassured of Our Lord’s abiding presence and promises:

Isaiah 43:1-3
Israel, the Lord who created you says, “Do not be afraid, I will save you. I have called you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burned; the hard trials that come will not hurt you.
For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy God of Israel that saves you.”

I will continue to be offline most times until I’m fully recovered and strengthened. Until then, cheers and God bless you all.

March 16 2012: Dear friends and visitors to our garden site:

Just wish to inform that yours truly had been spending her vacation in a government hospital from March 7-13 and will be readmitted this coming Monday, March 19 for a major operation. Hence, I’ll be on forced sabbatical leave from blogging, etc. for a period of time until I’m fully recovered. Eeek… an unwelcome guest in my lower colon that has to be surgically removed!

Whatever, I know that Our Heavenly Father who is all mighty, loving and merciful is in control. Surrendering all and trusting in His grace and goodness, He had allowed me to be home for a few days to rest well and to nourish and strengthen myself in preparation for next week’s ordeal. The recent week’s stay in hospital had weakened me severely as I was mostly fed intravenously with saline solution to prepare for the colon operation that was cancelled for 3 successive days as other urgent, critical and life-threatening cases were given priority.

Please do uplift me in your prayers for a successful operation, speedy and full recovery, with favourable biopsy results. Thank you so much.

God bless you all and may good health be yours always!

My prayers are with you Jacqui. My cousin has colostomy last year and he is doing well. I hope yours is just some removal and not a colostomy. You are in God’s hands, and everything will be fine. Our positive thoughts and loving kindness goes for you too. Take care.
